Racing Post Captures Sporting Life’s Sales, Mirror Claims
The Racing Post has captured almost all of the Sporting Life ‘s sales, following the Life‘s temporary suspension of publication (see Sporting Life To Close), according to initial figures from the Mirror Group.
A week after the Post was left as Britain’s solo racing paper, early circulation reports indicate that the “conversion rate” from Life to Post in the first week stands at 95% when compared with the previous combined sale of the two racing papers.
Mirror’s sales figures for day one (May 13) show a sale of 81,000 for the Post against a combined sale of 85,000 for the two titles the week before. By May 15 the Post had sold 86,000 copies against a combined 82,448 the previous week.
