TV Times To Sponsor BAFTAs

The TV Times will become the first event and broadcast sponsor of the British Academy’s TV Awards. The TV listings magazine will endorse the screening of the event on ITV at 8:30pm on 19 May.

This is the first year that the British Academy has separated the Film and TV awards.

The deal was negotiated by David Prosser, director of sponsorship at Carlton, and David Stubley, managing director at CIA MediaVision. The sponsorship will consist of a 15 second front credit, a 10 second end credit and six 5 second break bumpers.

The creative work was handled by Talent TV, the programme’s producers, in cooperation with MediaVision, Carlton TV and Creative Solutions, the in-house creative team at IPC. The credits will employ the strapline, “TV Times at the heart of British television”.
