Mirror Group To Launch The Wharf
The Mirror Group is launching a free newspaper dedicated to the Canary Wharf area of London.
The Wharf will launch in September and will be distributed to more than 20,000 blue-chip workers employed in the Canary Wharf complex, including the staff of Morgan Stanley, BZW, Ogilvy & Mather and Credit Suisse.
The title’s content will be focused on the Canary Wharf ‘community’, its companies and the leisure activities of those who work there.
The profile of the title’s readers is high-earning, young ABC1s with substantial disposable income. Mirror Group is confident that this will be very attractive to advertisers. Kelvin MacKenzie, the Group’s managing director, said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for advertisers to reach a young, wealthy, metropolitan audience.”
