John Willis has joined the shareholder board of Channel 5 Broadcasting, replacing Clive Hollick as the United News & Media representative. Willis was formerly director of programmes at Channel 4 and has recently been appointed as managing director of United Film & TV Productions. He quit the post at Channel 4 in September last year (subscribers see Willis Quits C4) and took up the Channel 5 post at its last board meeting in December.
Channel 5 Broadcasting is part-owned by United News & Media (29%), CLT ufa (29%), Pearson (24%) and Warburg Pincus (18%).
