Channel 5 is to launch The Pepsi Chart, a weekly music show, early this year. Drawing on the weekly music chart compiled by Pepsi, The Pepsi Chart will feature live acts, celebrities, gossip and ‘stunning graphics’. It will be broadcast “as live” every week from The Hanover Grand, and presented by Rhona Mitra, better known as the human embodiment of Tomb Raider‘s Lara Croft.
Using a weekly ‘musical agenda’ derived from the chart, the programme claims it will “re-establish the chart as a focal point in any young person’s week. It will be the most up-to-date chart on TV and certainly the most opinionated,” says Channel 5.
