Ex-Everywoman Team To Launch New Women’s Mag

A number of journalists from Everywoman, which closed in 1996 after an expensive court case, have set up a company called Agender and launched a women’s title called Sybil this week.

Editor Lorna Russell insists that the title will steer clear of offering advice on fashion and how to catch and keep men or women, but will concentrate on issues like politics, culture and health.

The title will be published bi-monthly and will rely mainly on subscriptions for its readership. Russell says that the title already has 5,000 people who have signed up.

Sybil appears in bookshops rather than newsstands and has an initial print run of 13,500 copies.
