Radio Authority Launches Public Interest Test Over EMAP Move

The Radio Authority will be conducting a public interest test into EMAP Radio’s proposal to take over Melody 105.4 FM (subscribers see Emap Buys Melody Radio). This is because EMAP already broadcasts Kiss 100 FM in the Greater London area.

As part of the test the Authority is seeking comments on how the takeover would affect issues such as the diverstiy of information, opinions and range of programming in the Greater London area.

Comments on the matter should be made to the Radio Authority by April 10.
