Reed Elsevier, the publishing group, released an update on its recent trading yesterday, and a profits warning.
Reed described trading conditions as having become ‘more difficult’ since the group’s interim results were released in August. The group is predicting lower trading results.
Pre-tax profits for the year were expected to be £770 million, some 6% below last year, due to lower net income from travel publishing.
