Outdoor Advertisers Launch Joint Scottish Venture
The Glasgow based Trainer Outdoor Advertising is forming a joint venture with JCDecaux, the French outdoor ad group. The new company, Trainer Decaux Scotland, will tender for local street furniture and six-sheet contracts in Scotland.
Trainer’s managing director Chris Trainer explained the venture: “JCDecaux can meet Scotland’s need for street furniture designs of the highest quality. Their expertise has become renowned in cities such as Sydney, Barcelona and San Francisco. As we move into the next millenium we have a tremendous opportunity to change the appearance of Scottish cities and towns for the better.” Chris Trainer will be managing director of the 50/50 venture.
Trainer Outdoor Advertising leads the competition with an estimated 29% of the revenue.
JCDecaux has over 160,000 backlit panels and operates in 23 countries.
