The results of a collaboration between ITN and Express Newspapers to produce a sports website have now been launched (see Express And ITN Announce Sports Tie-Up). Express Sport Live (http://www.express-sport.co.uk) is to use RealMedia technology to relay ITN audio sports bulletins to the site throughout the day.
Garron Baines, managing director of new media at ITN, says: “We are confident The Express Sport site will rapidly become one of the top online sports destinations and we are pleased that ITN’s sports journalism is entering a growing new market.”
ITN’s website has also secured a deal with Reuters’ SportsWeb which will see ITN’s World Cup area receiving a sports news-feed from Reuters. This partnership will continue after the close of the World Cup competition.
