IPC Magazines has released a one-off pilot supplement with its Country Life title. The experiment could lead to a more permanent London publication and is just the latest exploratory launch by Country Life. Earlier this year Country Life Gardens was circulated as a magazine in its own right (see IPC Launches One-Off Magazine).
In addition a Country Life website is currently under construction. Clive Aslet, editor, cited what the advantages of this would be: “There is a huge amount of information which would benefit from being on-line, in that it could be updated regularly”, and added that readers could “search for everything we’ve ever written”, if an archive were included.
