2002: Over 10% of International Telephone Traffic Via Internet
A new report from Datamonitor, IP Telephony Markets in Europe and the US: Beyond Internet Voice claims that over a tenth of international telephony traffic will be carried over Internet Protocol in the year 2002. The investigation reveals that IP telephony revenues will develop faster in Europe than the USA.
Datamonitor have earmarked 1999 as the point at which the majority of service providers start to offer IP.
