Publishing group Reed Elsevier is planning to invest £990 million in an expansion of its US legal information business.
US publishing giant, Times Mirror Company, announced today that it was to sell to Reed both its Matthew Bender & Company business and its 50% stake in Shepard’s Company. Reed already holds the other 50% of Shepard’s.
Reed Elsevier recently sold off its IPC Magazines group to management in a deal worth £860 million (subscribers see IPC Magazines Gains Independence).
