MAGTrack Bought By US-Based Harvey Research

UK Media research company, MAGTrack, has been bought by US rival, Harvey Research. After having considered offers from a number of groups, MAGTrack’s owner, Ian Owen-Ward, felt that Harvey was the best candidate to serve the existing client base.

Harvey’s president, Bill McBride, believes that the acquisition will strengthen the company’s position in Europe.

Commenting on the acquisition, Dennis Publishing’s publishing director, Christine Martin, said: “MAGTrack was the first company in the UK to offer publishers the compelling combination of credible, independent reader research at an affordable price. The opportunity to provide independent feedback to advertisers, monitor creative effectiveness and track readership trends was invaluable.”
