UK: Sanitary protection rules eased

The Independent Television Commission in the UK will from 1 August relax the timing restrictions concerning the advertising of sanitary protection products. The effect of the new regulation will be to permit the advertising of such products in and around all programmes except children’s and other programmes which have a particular appear to young people under the age of 10. Currently the rules permit such advertising only between the hours of 09:00-16:00, and then again from 21:00.
