The European Parliament’s Legal Affairs Committee has held a one day public hearing on copyright in the information society at which fourteen invited experts – representing the main groupings affected by the Directive, such as publishers, artists, radio and television producers, software manufacturers, film-makers, the record industry and libraries – spoke on the proposal for a Directive on copyright and related rights in the information society.
