Family Active Ceases Circulation Only Days After BBC Family Life Closes

Myatt McFarlane has suspended publication of its Family Active title just days after BBC Magazines announced the closure of its parenting magazine, BBC Family Life (see Less Than A Year After Launch, BBC Family Life Magazine Folds).

Family Active‘s editor, Liz Bestic, has left the magazine and it is understood that the remaining staff, most of whom are freelance, have been told to take a break.

The parenting market is proving difficult to crack, as BBC Family Life only managed to achieve half its target sales, according to BBC Magazines. Family Active did not register with the Audit Bureau of Circulations and so does not have an official circulation figure.
