The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) has appointed Simon Devitt as its new chief executive. Devitt fills the vacancy left by Ray Hall in April this year (see Ray Hall Leaves ABC).
Devitt was chosen following “an intense search and interview process” according to the ABC. He is currently publishing director at VNU Business Publications.
ABC chairman, Geoffrey Copeman, says: “With the rapid development of innovative marketing throughout the publishing industry, including electronic publishing, the selection of a chief executive with both a deep understanding of publishing and flair for business development was essential.”
