On Demand Information Suspends Shares Awaiting Sale

Electronic publishers and creative designers On Demand Information (ODI) suspended trading in its shares on Monday 2 February as the group was unable to publish its annual financial results due to discussions with potential buyers.

ODI announced on 29 August 1997 that its was seeking offers for the group and had intended to sell the company as a whole. Now it is looking like its two principal arms, Electronic Publishing and Creative Convergence, are to be sold separately as their interests appeal to different companies.

The management of ODI board members, Graham Poulter, Peter Ashley, Malcolm Wright and a senior management team, have expressed an interest in the Creative Convergence division. The shares were suspended at 6˝p.
