IRTC Names Successful Dublin Radio Licence Applicants

The Independent Radio and Television Commission (IRTC) has announced the successful applicants for the new radio licences in Dublin (see IRTC Shortlists Applicants For New Dublin Stations). Youth-oriented Spin FM, 35+ music station Lite FM, News Talk 106FM and Irish language Raidio na Life have all been awarded a licence to broadcast to the Dublin region.

Conor Maguire, chairman of the IRTC, said: “The standard of applications, and the number who applied, confirmed the Board’s assessment of the need for new licences for the capital. We were very pleased with the response.”
