Jim Freeman, group trading director, Telegraph Media Group; Dominic Carter, commercial director, News UK and Havas’ head of investment, Alan Brydon are now confirmed for the commercial panel at MediaTel’s Future of National Newspapers event on the morning of 29 September.
Kicking off with an intro from Livefyre’s CEO Jordan Kretchmer, the heavyweight panel will also include the new chief revenue officer at Trinity Mirror, James Wildman, and media commentator Raymond Snoddy.
The panel will consider business models; the thrust for platform data (and the future of NRS); the progress and implications of the planned trading system, PATS; data and tablet ad effectiveness.
The BBC’s ex-media correspondent, Torin Douglas, will chair the event, which will also include an editorial panel featuring Chris Blackhurst, group content director, The Independent and Evening Standard, and Nick Petrie, deputy head of news development, The Times and Sunday Times.
The panel will discuss transformative newsrooms, native advertising, the opportunities and threats from bloggers, and the value of quality journalism.
This is a half day event on the morning of 29 September at RBS, Bishopsgate.
