Sky’s Now TV arrives on Chromecast

Sky’s Now TV service has arrived on Google Chromecast, giving users access to a range of Sky films, live sport and 13 pay TV channels on their main TV screen.

Now TV customers with the Entertainment Month Pass will also have access to ITV’s brand new channel, ITV Encore, which launched in June. Dedicated to the broadcaster’s British drama, ITV Encore will show programmes including Poirot, The Widower, Mr Selfridge and Whitechapel.

“We’re big fans of tiny media streaming devices so we’re really excited to add Google Chromecast to the family. It means customers have another great way to enjoy Now TV on their big screen,” said Gidon Katz, director of Now TV.

“We’re getting ready for the colder, darker nights and making sure there’s plenty of great TV to watch while snuggled down on the sofa. Adding the very best of British drama from ITV Encore means TV addicts won’t be short of shows to enjoy this autumn.”

Martin Goswami, director of pay & distribution at ITV, added: “Following the launch of ITV Encore to Sky customers on 9 June 2014, we are delighted to also offer Now TV customers the chance to enjoy our fantastic dramas with the addition of the channel’s catch up content to the Now TV Entertainment Month Pass.”
