ISBA, the voice of British advertisers, has appointed Helen Nassey as its new communications manager.
Reporting to the advertising body’s director of public affairs, Ian Twinn, Nassey will be responsible for media relations, content creation and ISBA’s digital channels.
Replacing Liam Northfield, Nassey joins ISBA from Quidco where she held the position of corporate PR Manager, prior to which she spent four years at the PR agency Propeller specialising in media, marketing and advertising clients.
Commenting on the appointment, Twinn said: “We are looking forward to Helen joining us and help to challenge our Comms and build on our strengths.
“Advertisers continue to face challenges to keep pace with the fast moving digital media environment, the changing agency scene and the pressures from regulatory threats. Our Comms are key to our success in championing advertisers and their ads.”
Nassey added: “It’s an exciting challenge for me to be joining the ISBA team at a time when the advertising industry is undergoing such rapid change. The developments in media and agency relationships, standards and technological advancements mean that ISBA’s members more than ever need to be a part of a representative body that’s committed to providing world-class education, support and content.
“The key to a successful Communications strategy for ISBA moving forward will be to ensure that all our Comms channels are aligned and that the advertisers’ interests are consistently front of mind.”
Nassey will begin her new role on 6 October.
