St Luke’s Handed £50m Creative Account Following Sky Restructure
British Sky Broadcasting has given its entire advertising account to St Luke’s as restructuring of the company takes place in the wake of the resignation of Ian West (see Restructure Planned At Sky As Ian West Departs). Sky Entertainment, the distribution division West headed, has been merged with Sky Networks, the programming divusion run by Elisabeth Murdoch, so that the company has a more integrated structure. Both will be overseen by senior management with Scott Menneer named as overall consumer marketing director.
Spokesperson for the company Andrew Sholl said: “Demand is outstripping supply at the moment. As the launch of the digital sector is past its initial phase, the company is consolidating its divisions.”
A new group for sales and distribution will be overseen by Jon Florsheim, previously marketing and distribution director of Sky Entertainment.
St Luke’s already works for the broadcaster, having handled the creative account for all Sky channels since January. The agency will now take over the entire creative business worth £50 million, including the SkyDigital account which has been handled internally since the group sacked M&C Saatchi in February.
