Emap Radio Creates £1.5m Big City Campaign

Emap Radio is targetting its Big City networks with a £1.5 million advertising and marketing campaign. Called Fiver Fever, it is to focus on the biggest stations owned by the group – Key 103 in Manchester, Aire FM in Leeds and Metro FM in Newcastle.

The breakfast promotion is themed around the excitement created by trying to get hold of five pound notes in order to play; every Monday the fivers will give listeners the chance to win £10,000 by checking the serial numbers on them and answering a series of questions.

The advertising campaign has been devised by Mother and will take place over eight weeks; TV commercials will screen on Granada, Tyne Tees and Yorkshire networks; outdoor billboards will display on almost a 1,000 sites to be complemented by online banner advertising and ambient media.
