Dennis Publishing expands into craft and history

Dennis Publishing has bought three titles from Immediate Media – CrossStitcher, Cross Stitch Collection and Your Family – that will see the publisher expand its portfolio into craft and history sectors.

Immediate Media had previously bought the titles from Future UK, which had to sell off a number of publications earlier this year after reporting huge financial losses.

The transaction between Dennis and Immediate is conditional on Competition and Markets Authority approval.

“Craft and history are two of the areas that are still seeing growth in the UK magazine market,” said James Tye, chief executive, Dennis Publishing.

“We have a proven track record of acquiring and improving brands in new sectors and this underlines our commitment to continuing growth, both in print and digitally.”

Subject to the approval, CrossStitcher, Cross Stitch Collection and Your Family will join titles including The Week, Bizarre, Men’s Fitness and PC Pro.
