AppNexus has announced the appointment of Jean-Cristophe Conti to run its publisher sales in EMEA.
Conti joins AppNexus from Yahoo, where he has been vice president and head of partnerships group since 2009. He has also held senior positions in Yahoo search marketing and Wanadoo France.
AppNexus’ European publisher clients include Interactive Media, MailOnline, Orange, Schibsted and United Internet.
Commenting on the appointment, the company’s general manager of publishing, Ryan Christensen, said: “AppNexus is making a substantial, multi-year investment in the global publisher ad technology market, including the acquisition of the Open Ad Stream premium publisher ad server, major upgrades to our Deals and Packages capabilities, and the creation of a dedicated Publishers business unit.
“Conti’s experience will be an incredible asset to AppNexus in Europe and to the publisher clients we service.”
Conti added: “I am extremely excited to be joining AppNexus at a time when the company has emerged as a leader in the publisher market in EMEA.
“AppNexus provides not only the most powerful ad tech stack in the industry, but it’s also not associated with any media business, and therefore doesn’t compete with publishers striving to grow their own ad revenue.”
