News UK announces new head of trading

News UK Commercial has today announced the appointment of a new trading director.

Chris Amor joins News UK from Opera Media, Omnicom Media Group’s division that specialises in media negotiation, where he has been print, radio and out of home trading director for the last two years.

Amor, who will report to the company’s commercial director, Dominic Carter, will be responsible for ensuring that News UK “continues to set the industry standard” in its contractual negotiations.

He brings with him nearly 20 years of media negotiation experience and will start his role early next year.

Commenting on the appointment Carter said: “Chris’ extensive agency experience working with major brands across all types of media within an important network will be a great asset to News UK Commercial.

“He has a strong understanding of our brands and as the media landscape continues to evolve he will play a key role in helping advertisers and customers understand our one audience sales proposition. I am really looking forward to having him join the team.”
