Dialog Announces 8% Increase In Q4 Revenue
The Dialog Corporation, a provider of internet-based information, has announced first quarter results today for 1999, with a 7.8% increase in revenue from Q4 1998 to £42.7 million. Pre-tax profit was £425,000, and earnings per share for the quarter were 0.3p.
Dialog is still attempting to turn around revenues and profits from the merger of MAID and Knight Ridder and progress has been slower than anticipated (see Dialog Focuses On Debt Reduction And New Net Products). The group also announced that chairman, Michael Mander, is stepping down after 11 years with Dialog.
Allen Thomas, deputy chairman of Dialog, commented: “1999 has commenced with a strong focus on the growth drivers of the business and the need to address the Group’s current debt position. I am confident that significant progress is being made in addressing these issues and expect the Group to be delivering news of progress in the near future.”
