Carlton Launches Internet Transaction Service For Retailers

Carlton Communications has announced that it is establishing a one-stop-shop for retailers and publishers of home entertainment products that want to sell via the internet.

DHE, a Carlton subsidiary, is offering retailers and mail order companies an opportunity to link their web sites to a dedicated DHE sales site which will handle orders, credit card payments, stock sourcing, delivery and fulfilment. DHE will also create web sites for retailers.

Michael Green, Chairman of Carlton, said: “This is the next stage in our development of online businesses. The potential for online sales of videos, music and books is immense. We are offering retailers an integrated service, from handling the original online order to ensuring the final delivery of product.”
