Sky One, BSkyB’s entertainment channel, has appointed a new general manager. David Bergg, who is currently director of planning and strategy at ITV Network, will report to Mark Sharman, director of broadcasting at Sky Networks.
His appointment completes a dramatic new management structure at Sky Networks, which has taken place since Bruce Steinberg announced his resignation two months ago (see Sky Networks Loses General Manager). “I am excited and honoured to be handed the Sky One baton at this stage of its evolution, and I look forward to joining the team,” Bergg said.
