United News & Media has acquired Two-Ten Communications from the Press Association. The sale is believed to be worth £17 million, and Two-Ten, the UK based distributor of corporate news releases, will be combined with United’s New York based PR Newswire (PRN) distribution service.
Ian Capps, chief executive at PRN, is confident that the alliance of PR Newswire and Two-Ten will increase the flow of information between the Americas and Europe, and that the alliance will establish PRN as a global leader in news distribution.
The PA will retain hold of the marketing services division of Two-Ten, based in Yorkshire.
