Haymarket Launches Goal Magazine
Haymarket Magazines has announced plans to launch a new consumer football magazine called Goal. The fortnightly title is set to hit the shops in time for the start of the new football season in six weeks’ time.
Goal will be a ‘glossy and stylish’ title aimed at boys aged between 9 and 14 years and Haymarket says that it will be the first of its kind. The magazine’s publisher, Kevin Whitchurch, previously worked on Attic Futura’s teen girl title Sugar.
Haymarket also publishes the adult football title, Four Four Two, which has a circulation of around 80,000. “We are building on our deep understanding of football magazine publishing and creating a new and exciting title,” says Whitchurch.
Haymarket recently launched The Net, a monthly guide to using the internet (see Freeserve Joins Haymarket In Internet Mag Launch).
