Poole-based group Freestyle Publications has acquired two new snowboarding titles to add to its current portfolio, which includes the recently launched Boys Toys (see Newsline). The new titles are Snowboard UK and The Snowboard Bible, which Freestyle purchased this week from Air Publications.
Snowboard UK has a circulation of 7,000 and is published seven times a year, but the team at Freestyle are confident that they will be able to revamp its UK sales. The Snowboard Bible is an annual publication with a circulation of 25,000. Air Publications is selling the titles to create funds for the launch of three new magazines including a BMX riders’ title and a skateboarders’ title.
The editorial team will remain unchanged, and Freestyle is also planning to launch a website for the titles, as well as a German edition of Snowboard UK.
