TV Viewing Summary W/E 21/03/99
You fall into two camps regarding Manchester United. You either hate them so much that you want them to lose every match they play in, or you only hate when they play your team in league (but secretly wish your team was as good as them). Love them or loath them, you have to admit that Manchester United are popular with the viewing public. The first leg of the quarter final match between United and Inter Milan drew audience total of 11.91 million, with the second leg attracting slightly less at 11.53 million.
The show may be attracting much praise in the press, but Wonderful You is proving to be the least successful of ITV’s new 10 o’clock line up. The second episode of the series attracted the relatively small audience of 3.77 million, and was beaten in its timeslot by a repeat showing of BBC1’s Men Behaving Badly.
Elsewhere the final edition of Noel’s House Party drew in 8.56 million viewers, up from 6.71 million the previous week. Maybe there were a lot of people tuning to see that this really was the last ever episode, and not just some unfunny joke by the BBC.
