Inflation At 2.2%

According to figures released by the Office for National Statistics this morning, annual underlying inflation for June stood at 2.2%. This is up from 2.1% in May but still below the Government’s target of 2.5%. The headline inflation rate, which includes mortgage interest payments, remained unchanged from May at 1.3%.
