European Magazines To Receive Pan-European Circulation Audit

The International Federation of Audit Bureaux of Circulations (IFABC) is to introduce a pan-European ABC certificate for titles published in a number of continental markets. The idea is that titles which are currently audited by a number of different European ABCs will be able to report them on a single combined certificate. The new certificate will not eliminate the requirement to produce individual certificates in each of the participating national ABCs.

Simon Devitt, chief executive of the UK ABC, said: “This certificate will be a powerful tool for both advertising buyers and publishers. It reflects a dramatic increase in the level of cooperation between the Association of European Members of IFABC, and is merely the first of many initiatives to promote circulation auditing and standards across this important geographic market.”
