UnmissableTV Rolls Out Onto Third Platform
IPC tx has claimed a first by signing a deal with AvantGo to offer its TV and showbiz content on Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). The agreement will be the third platform across which the unmissabletv content is available.
Unmissabletv.com launched as a website last year (see IPC To Launch Television Website), bringing together IPC Media’s television listings magazines into a one-stop shop. Since then IPC has struck a deal with BT Cellnet and Virgin to make the content available on WAP mobile phones (see IPC Allows Access To TV Listings Via WAP).
Executive editor, Colin Tough, said: “Our aim is to make unmissabletv’s unrivalled TV and entertainment coverage available to users anywhere, any time. The launch of our channel on the AvantGo service means users can now receive a preview of the day’s unmissable programmes, catch up with news and gossip about TV and films and keep up-to-date with their favourite soaps at their PC, on their mobile phone, or on their Palm Pilot or Pocket PC device.”
