Freeserve To Sell Email Ad Space
Freeserve has launched an email marketing programme, allowing advertisers to target its email subscription list. The group has five daily and weekly opt-in email newsletters which have an audience of around 2 million.
They allow for specific targeting of various groups of online users, covering a range of subjects from investment updates to online shopping and auctions. They offer higher click-through rates than banners and allow advertisers to tailor their message over the period of the campaign.
Caroline Pathy, advertising sales director of Freeserve said: “Due to the high level of interest in additional advertising and sponsorship opportunities, we identified the need to provide advertisers with access to the high volume of highly targeted opt-in newsletters we send out. Advertisers can now target the active investor and the committed online shopper more effectively and with added flexibility.”
The first advertisers to sign up to the service are LetsBuyIt, FT.com, AssertaHome and MultexInvestor.
