New Head For IPC Southbank Poached From Emap Esprit

IPC Southbank has nabbed Emap Digital’s executive director, Tim Brooks, to join its executive board as managing director. He will take over the position at the end of October, following the retirement of Colin Reeves-Smith, who has been at the company for 34 years.

Brooks will report to IPC chief executive Sly Bailey. She commented on his appointment: “Tim is a journalist by background, managing director by experience and has recently spearheaded Emap’s digital developments. What more could I want from a new MD for IPC?”

With a background at Emap which began in 1991 when he joined as head of corporate planning, Brooks has also run start-up businesses in London and Sydney. Prior to making the move to IPC he held the position of managing director of Emap’s multi-media Esprit Network.
