IPC Retains Its Hold On Home Interest Market
Circulation figures of home interest titles suffered a 4.5% decline in a year on year analysis, according to the latest ABC report. Some titles in particular suffered rather miserable figures, and leading the way are Feng Shui For Modern Living which took a 27.5% drop in sales, closely followed by Homes & Ideas, which fell 24.8%, and House Beautiful, down 17%.
However, things might be looking up for the sector as new title English Home – UK Edition, launched at the beginning of the year, recorded a steady sales figure of 44,180.
On the publishing front IPC Media have maintained its lead in this market with an increase in its hold on the sector. Other companies have also seen a rise in market share with the exception of Natmags, which is the only company in this sector to have a declining market share.
