ESI’s Matt Batchelor to head up Bauer’s agency relations

Bauer Media has announced the appointment of Matt Batchelor to lead the business’s strategic relations with agency partners.

In the new role of director of agency relations and trading, Batchelor will work alongside group commercial director Simon Kilby and the advertising leadership team to drive increased share of revenue across Bauer’s platforms.

Batchelor joins from ESI Media where he was group agency sales director representing the commercial interests of The Independent, London Evening Standard and London Live. Prior to that, he began his career in sales at IPC Music & Sport, and spent eight years at The Mail on Sunday.

“Matt is a rounded and experienced media professional, with gravitas, experience and credibility – he is extremely well placed to maximise our agency relationships,” Kilby said.

Batchelor starts immediately.
