Twitter’s Gianluca Ena joins as global digital account management director
Hearst Magazines, the publisher of Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, ELLE and Esquire, has launched its first global digital commercial team.
Facebook’s Chris Porter has been appointed digital director, while Twitter’s Gianluca Ena joins as global digital account management director – both based in London.
Saverio Schiano, who has held roles at Facebook and Google, has been appointed international business director and will lead digital efforts in Milan from February.
The team will be led by the publisher’s global vice president of digital, Tracy Yaverbaun, who joined Hearst in August 2016 from Instagram where she was head of brand development EMEA.
Prior to that, she was group director of retail at Facebook and has sat on the Digital and Technology Advisory Board for the British Fashion Council.
The team also includes international trading director Simon Reed and digital business director Christina Watson.
Commenting on the appointments, Hearst Magazines president, marketing and publishing director, Michael Clinton said: “Marketers are looking for creative global solutions at scale, and with our portfolio of brands in key markets around the world, we are in a unique position to provide trusted editorial environments and reach consumers in a way that works.”
