C4 Revenue Share Increasing

With ratings seen to be falling for ITV programmes, predictions of C4’s future revenue are sounding increasingly healthy. MediaTel’s own predictions key 2 are estimating a 17-18% share of revenue for C4 for the rest of 1993. A report in today’s Media Week quotes some buyers as predicting a share of as much as 20% for June.

All of this speculation does little to ease the minds of ITV region chiefs and is likely to push them into further programming changes, like the attempted move of News At Ten, in an effort to boost viewing figures.A lot will depend on the new ITV autumn schedule when it is revealed on 13th July.
