BTI Studios, a media localisation and access services company for the entertainment industry, has hired the former chief executive of Exterion Media, Shaun Gregory, as its new CEO.
The company provides subtitling and dubbing, video description, closed captioning and media solutions for broadcasters, film studios, VOD platforms and distributors.
In March 2016, Gregory played a major role in defending Exterion’s advertising network contract with Transport for London (TfL), which is estimated to be worth around £150m a year and for the first time combines advertising space across the London Underground, London Overground, Tramlink, Docklands Light Railway, Victoria Coach Station and, once it is operational, the Elizabeth line.
He stepped down as CEO in February this year after four years in the role, replaced by Leon Taviansky, the former chief operating and financial officer.
Prior to Exterion Media, Gregory held senior positions at Telefonica, EMAP and National Brands; BTI Studios said that his “proven track record” of growing companies and managing de-centralised international businesses will be key for the company going forward.
Commenting on the appointment, Gregory said: “I am excited to take on this role at BTI, particularly with digital media distribution’s rapid growth due to the ever-increasing demand, consumption and accessibility of new content on a worldwide basis. I look forward to continuing BTI’s global expansion.”
