Hot Air Comes Down To Earth
John Brown Publishing is suspending the publication of Hot Air, Virgin Atlantic’s quarterly in-flight magazine, after the October edition. The move is thought to be due to cuts in the airline’s budget in the wake of US terror attacks.
The magazine, which was launched in 1988, won the WAEA World’s Best In-flight Magazine award five times during the late nineties and was one of 22 customer magazines published by John Brown for the UK, European and US contract publishing markets.
John Brown Publishing, which sold its consumer magazine titles and websites to I Feel Good Holdings earlier in the year (see I Feel Good Makes Bid For Viz Publishers), is currently developing a series of Total Guides for WHSmith.
