ISBA To Unveil Scottish Advertisers Group

ISBA has announced the imminent launch of a Scottish Advertisers Group to provide a forum for information sharing on issues relating to the developing and increasingly independent Scottish advertising market.

The group will be officially unveiled today at the Scottish IPA Advertising Effectiveness Awards and will operate as a satellite of the London-based ISBA. Pam Hyder, chairman of the new group and advertising manager for Standard Life said, “The group’s agenda will be set entirely by its members. Doubtless this will develop over time as new issues come to light. For the time being the agenda is focused primarily on developing training programmes and “best practice” advice and guidance to smooth advertiser/agency relationships.”

Mark Gorman, chair of the Scottish IPA welcomed the move in a statement yesterday: “It is right that many of Scotland’s biggest advertisers should be forging a closer working relationship with the creation of the ISBA Scottish Advertisers Group. A key benefit of this initiative will be a joining of forces in the area of training.”
