Advertising Association Backs EU Plans To Dismantle Trade Barriers
The Advertising Association (AA) has called on the UK government to remove trade barriers within the EU Internal Market.
In a submission to the Department Of Trade And Industry the AA showed its support for an EU Commission which calls for the establishment of a ‘true internal market’ for Europe.
Director-general of the AA Andrew Brown said: “Protectionist barriers to cross-border trade are damaging impediments to the commercial communications sector and by their removal the EU can improve the situation for consumers and industry alike.”
It is hoped that the strategy will improve the practical working of the internal market allowing Britain to compete fully within the EU.
