Immediate Media, publisher of consumer magazines including the Radio Times, BBC Top Gear and BBC Gardener’s World, has hired Scott Deutrom as advertising managing director.
The magazine publisher poached Deutrom from ESI Media, publisher of the Evening Standard, where he managed the company’s advertising sponsorshop and e-commerce revenues as chief revenue officer.
In his new role, Deutrom will take responsibility for all of Immediate’s advertising revenue streams across print and digital, as well as revenue generated by Imagine, the company’s creative and content studio.
“The breath, depth and authority of [Immediate’s] content combined with their highly engaged audiences, delivers an extremely powerful commercial proposition and one that I’m excited about fully maximising,” Deutrom said.
Taking up the role from Monday 4 March, he will report into group managing director Alison Forrestal.
Commenting on the appointment, Forrestal added: “This is a hugely important role for Immediate and, as such, we have taken our time to find the right person for the position and we are confident we have done so.
“Scott has a proven track record in senior commercial leadership positions across digital, print and television, from start-up through to FTSE 100, delivering across a range of different revenue streams.”
