Chris Jones, the chief executive of J Walter Thompson, has resigned his position on health grounds. He is to be succeeded by Peter Schweitzer, who will take on the role on top of his current position as president.
Martin Sorrell, chief executive of parent company, WPP, said: “Chris has made a lasting contribution to JWT, both during his tenure as CEO and during his long service to JWT in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.”
